This is Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Grand Rounds 9. This month’s case involves a 59-year-old female with constant bilateral head, neck and right-sided shoulder pain following her 5th MVA over the past 15 years.
Her most recent symptoms include constant arm pain and numbness, neck, eyes, spinal, and buttock pain. Her goals include to return to the pre-injury level of pain. The patient’s subjective reports indicate central and peripheral sensitization, kinesiophobia and presence of childhood trauma.
