Core Strength is not all about crunches, sit-ups, and kegels! Let’s work together to reconnect the pelvic floor, abdominals, and spine and build a toned and supple system! This 6 week series is meant for all ages and abilities; if you would like to create change, strength, and coordination to support you in everyday life, at the gym, in yoga class, and to have more confidence in your body, join in!  We do review some anatomy, and we discuss continence, pelvic floor management, and a bit about Diastasis. The classes are not meant to be treatment, but are a great addition if you are working with PT, or have done so in the past.

Each class will be recorded, so if you are not able to join in that evening (or the kids or dog take over your space!), the recording will be available to you for life. A great way to begin to rebuild after baby(s), or to refine at any point. These techniques and exercises will help in any of your fitness or exercise routines. Register for the class series, and receive a 10% discount on your Embody Physiotherapy appointment if you see us in person. After purchasing this class series, you will receive a zoom link for the series!

The class instructor is Rebecca Meehan PT WCS PYT. In addition to being a Physiotherapist specializing in the care of the pelvic floor and core, Rebecca is a Medical Therapeutic Yoga instructor. In these classes, we will bring in strength and coordination training, breath techniques, and fun and function. My goal is to provide you with strength and skills that you can use everyday as well as to build your other exercise programs (or to begin a new one).
