From Bodily Knowledge to Intuitive Movement (FBKTIM) is a seven-part live series with physical and yoga therapist Sherry Brourman, built chapter by chapter from her book of the same name, with research assistant Gina Shelton moderating. The series begins with a free introductory session, followed by six chapter sessions. This page registers you for the complete six-chapter series: one registration, all six live sessions, running monthly from November 2026 through April 2027.

The free introductory session, open to everyone, will be presented live on Friday, October 2. Sherry Brourman
PT, C-IAYT
Sherry Brourman, PT, C-IAYT has been a physical therapist for more than 50 years and a yoga therapist for nearly three decades. She is the author of From Bodily Knowledge to Intuitive Movement: Where Physical Therapy, Yoga Therapy, and Pain Science Meet, a book that reflects her lifelong passion for integrating movement science, whole-person care, and clinical curiosity. Through her teaching, writing, and private practice, Sherry encourages clinicians, movement professionals, and individuals to develop greater bodily awareness, thoughtful observation, and confidence in supporting each person's unique movement journey. Her work emphasizes helping people become active participants in their own healing through individualized exploration rather than one-size-fits-all solutions. She remains, first and foremost, a lifelong student of movement, continually learning from her patients, students, colleagues, and teachers.

Gina Shelton
C-IAYT

Gina Shelton, C-IAYT, is a pediatric yoga therapist with the Pain Management team at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth. Gina works with outpatient persistent pain patients and hospitalized patients with GI pain, chronic headaches and migraines, epilepsy, cancer, eating disorders, cardiac issues, anxiety around treatment for injuries & accidents, as well as patients in intense neuro rehab.

Gina completed her yoga therapy program at Loyola Marymount University in 2010, and became a certified yoga therapist through International Association of Yoga Therapist in 2017. Gina was also the research & editorial assistant of the recently released book From Bodily Knowledge to Intuitive Movement: Where Yoga Therapy, Physical Therapy and Pain Science Meet by Sherry Brourman, PT, C-IAYT.
