We are entering a new normal. Digital healthcare is not going away.
What are the important questions we need to ask ourselves right now to prepare for an evolving healthcare system, emerging opportunities, and changing consumer expectations?
In this 2 hour live webinar, Dave Walton and Maggie Bergeron are going to discuss:
- Why healthcare is the last industry to accept technology as an integral and integrated part of the industry.
- The top drivers that are creating ripples (and soon waves) of change in the healthcare system (beyond COVID-19).
- The top trends in health technology.
- It's easier than ever to innovate - it's a blue ocean. How can you structure your thinking using an innovative business model canvas.
- And, perhaps most importantly, what do our patients really want?
This is going to be a special 1.5-hour PT Together Episode featuring Maggie Bergeron, Co-Founder of Embodia, and Dave Walton, physiotherapist, researcher, professor, and international presenter. Dave and Maggie will be presenting a synopsis of research and current events that support the integration of digital technologies into the physiotherapy profession. Advantages, disadvantages, risks, and benefits will be discussed.
Register below. This webinar is limited to 500 participants to allow for questions and discussion. The presentation slides for this webinar will be posted on this page prior to the webinar so you can download them and follow along.
Disrupt or be disrupted. Are you ready for what's coming? If we are not apart of the change, the change will be made for us.
Here's a sneak peak at some of the ideas we will be discussing:
1. Now is the time for NEW IDEAS. New products, models, and services. It has never been easier and it will never be more readily received. People are looking for new, for novel solutions. There are going to be unique needs in the post-COVID world. What are those new needs that exist in physiotherapy and how can you be a first mover in addressing those needs?
2. Exponential growth opportunities. You can only find big opportunities in blue oceans. It is now a blue ocean. Supply and demand are drastically going to shift - where are the 10-100x blue ocean opportunities that are either in your lane or adjacent to your lane or are in a pivot that you can accomplish using your existing assets?
3. Remote, virtual, and digital. Just 60 days ago there were a lot of people who were resistant, but that has changed. We don't do what we want to do, we don't do what we should do, we do what we HAVE to do. A lot of people have had to figure out digital and they are recognizing the benefits associated. There will be a whole new acceptance + consumer habits that will drive this. What changes in consumer behavior in our industry have shifted and how can you respond?
4. Convenience. Netflix beat Blockbuster because of convenience, not because they had better movies. Kodak had all the patents on digital photography but they lost because they bet on quality vs convenience. Convenience trumps quality (so long as the quality is good enough). What are the innovations in convenience within how you do business or how you deliver your services that you should be taking first-mover advantage on?
5. Impact. Now, more than ever, you can make a bigger contribution to people's lives than ever before. How can we position ourselves as pain killers instead of vitamines?
The adoption process of digital healthcare, remote workers, distributed workforces, and technology have been accelerated by 50 years. Join us to take a birds-eye view of our profession and the healthcare industry, and predictions for the future.
