Overview:
We conducted a critical review about the safety and applicability of spinal manual therapy for people with osteoporosis by reviewing biomechanical and clinical literature. We found the force produced on the spine during manual therapy varies widely, and the three identified clinical studies reported few adverse events with Grade III/IV mobilizations, and participants experienced some benefits to pain and function.
