Case:
This month’s case involves a 59-year-old female with constant bilateral head, neck and right sided shoulder pain following her 5th MVA over the past 15 years.
Case Presenter:
Sean Gibbons Bsc (Hons), RPT, MSc, PhD(c)
Sean graduated from Manchester University in 1995 and is an Assistant Adjunct Clinical Professor at McMaster University. He is a clinician who does part time research. His research has been on who will respond to motor control exercise, learning difficulties, body imagery and the influences of low-grade systemic inflammation in musculoskeletal pain.

Gwendolen Jull AO MPhty, PhD, FACP
Gwen is an Emeritus Professor in Physiotherapy at The University of Queensland, Australia. She is a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist. She has taught and published widely and continues her research interests in neck pain and headache and the research base for multimodal management. She is co-editor of the international journal, Musculoskeletal Science and Practice.

Ashley Smith, PT, Grad.Dip.Manip.(PT),PhD
Ashley is a clinical specialist in musculoskeletal physiotherapy who provides clinical consultations for people with chronic musculoskeletal pain - within a collaborative interdisciplinary team environment at Vivo Cura Health in Calgary. His research focusses on nociceptive influences on pain processes and health outcomes in people with chronic musculoskeletal pain undergoing conservative, orthobiological or other interventional care.

Dave Walton PT, PhD
Dave is an Associate Professor with the School of Physical Therapy (cross Dept. of Psychiatry) at the University of Western Ontario. He is a clinical researcher with interests in clinical measurement, recovery prognosis, trauma-informed care, and knowledge mobilization. He is Co-Director, Innovative Solutions with Western's CANSpine clinical research laboratory and publishes widely in the fields of pain and spinal trauma rehabilitation.
